Documentary film Far Encounters was selectedfor the yearlong 2011 Ex Oriente Film workshop which takes place in the Czech Republic, in three sessions: March 12 - 19 in Roztoky u Prahy; June 13 - 19 in Prague; October 23 - 30, 2011 in Jihlava. The workshop is divided into three sessions that take place in the course of one year. At these workshops selected directors and producers develop their projects and funding strategies and benefit from the assistance and valuable advice provided by established European producers, directors, and other film professionals.
