Documentary project Far Encounters awarded at the EEFA Training Network meeting
Documentary project Far Encounters by director and screenwriter Vilim Žlender and Marko Stanić and producer Dijana Mlađenović was recognized as one of the two best documentary projects at the final workshop on Training Network organized by the East European Film Alliance. The event took place at the end of November in Tallinn, Estonia as a part of the International Film Festival PÖFF Black Nights. Taking part in the event were seven documentary and eight fiction features. Far Encounters shared the first place with the documentary project See you in Chechnya (Georgia) and fiction feature projects Circle (Turkey), Lemon Juice and Indigo (Hungary) and Seaburners (Turkey). EEFA Training Network ensures that the best projects are presented in international markets and pitching forums. Croatian project was chosen to take part in the co-production pitching forum When East Meets West which will take place from 19 to 21 January, 2012, as part of the Trieste Film Festival. East European Film Alliance is a consortium of 12 partners from East European and Baltic states, helping and supporting the development of selected film projects through the Training Network program; facilitating exchange of information, knowledge and cultural diversity and enabling authors of projects to get in touch with distributors, sales agents, producers and film fairs.
